Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly
meme held over at The Broke and the Bookish

This weeks topic is: Top ten most
anticipated books for 2013!

Publication Date: Jan. 8, 2013
The city of Ludlow is gripped by the hottest July on record. The asphalt is melting, the birds are dying, petty crime is on the rise, and someone in Hannah Wagnor’s peaceful suburban community is killing girls.

For Hannah, the summer is a complicated one. Her best friend Lillian died six months ago, and Hannah just wants her life to go back to normal. But how can things be normal when Lillian’s ghost is haunting her bedroom, pushing her to investigate the mysterious string of murders? Hannah’s just trying to understand why her friend self-destructed, and where she fits now that Lillian isn’t there to save her a place among the social elite. And she must stop thinking about Finny Boone, the big, enigmatic delinquent whose main hobbies seem to include petty larceny and surprising acts of kindness.

With the entire city in a panic, Hannah soon finds herself drawn into a world of ghost girls and horrifying secrets. She realizes that only by confronting the Valentine Killer will she be able move on with her life—and it’s up to her to put together the pieces before he strikes again.

Paper Valentine is a hauntingly poetic tale of love and death by the New York Times bestselling author of The Replacement and The Space Between.

The final book in the  New York Times bestselling trilogy, perfect for fans of Battlestar Galactica and Prometheus!

FUELED BY LIES.
RULED BY CHAOS.
ALMOST HOME.

Amy and Elder have finally left the oppressive walls of the spaceship Godspeed behind. They're ready to start life afresh--to build a home--on Centauri-Earth, the planet that Amy has traveled 25 trillion miles across the universe to experience.

But this new Earth isn't the paradise Amy had been hoping for. There are giant pterodactyl-like birds, purple flowers with mind-numbing toxins, and mysterious, unexplained ruins that hold more secrets than their stone walls first let on. The biggest secret of all? Godspeed's former passengers aren't alone on this planet. And if they're going to stay, they'll have to fight.

Amy and Elder must race to discover who--or what--else is out there if they are to have any hope of saving their struggling colony and building a future together. They will have to look inward to the very core of what makes them human on this, their most harrowing journey yet. Because if the colony collapses? Then everything they have sacrificed--friends, family, life on Earth--will have been for nothing.

The only thing worse than forgetting her past... is remembering it.

When Freedom Airlines flight 121 went down over the Pacific Ocean, no one ever expected to find survivors. Which is why the sixteen-year-old girl discovered floating among the wreckage—alive—is making headlines across the globe.

Even more strange is that her body is miraculously unharmed and she has no memories of boarding the plane. She has no memories of her life before the crash. She has no memories period. No one knows how she survived. No one knows why she wasn’t on the passenger manifest. And no one can explain why her DNA and fingerprints can’t be found in a single database in the world.

Crippled by a world she doesn’t know, plagued by abilities she doesn’t understand, and haunted by a looming threat she can’t remember, Seraphina struggles to piece together her forgotten past and discover who she really is. But with every clue only comes more questions. And she’s running out of time to answer them.

Her only hope is a strangely alluring boy who claims to know her from before the crash. Who claims they were in love. But can she really trust him? And will he be able to protect her from the people who have been making her forget?

From popular young adult author, Jessica Brody comes a mesmerizing and suspenseful new series, set in a world where science knows no boundaries, memories are manipulated, and true love can never be forgotten.

Beautiful Disaster told in Travis point of view.

How much is too much to love?

Travis Maddox learned two things from his mother before she died: Love hard. Fight harder.

In Walking Disaster, the life of Travis is full of fast women, underground gambling, and violence. Just when he thought he was invincible, Abby Abernathy brings him to his knees.

Every story has two sides. In Jamie McGuire's New York Times bestseller Beautiful Disaster Abby had her say. Now it's time to see the story through Travis's eyes.

A riveting new story from Cat Patrick, author of Forgotten and Revived.

17-year-olds Lizzie, Ella, and Betsey Best grew up as identical triplets... until they discovered a shocking family secret. They're actually closer than sisters, they're clones. Hiding from a government agency that would expose them, the Best family appears to consist of a single mother with one daughter named Elizabeth. Lizzie, Ella, and Betsey take turns going to school, attending social engagements, and a group mindset has always been a de facto part of life...

Then Lizzie meets Sean Kelly, a guy who seems to see into her very soul. As their relationship develops, Lizzie realizes that she's not a carbon copy of her sisters; she's an individual with unique dreams and desires, and digging deeper into her background, Lizzie begins to dismantle the delicate balance of an unusual family that only science could have created.

Waiting On Wednesday: Collateral

Waiting On Wednesday #10!
"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

This week I picked:
Collateral by Ellen Hopkins
Expected Publication: November 6, 2012

The gripping story of a woman torn between love for her boyfriend, a dedicated Marine deployed to Afghanistan, and the resentment she has for the war that is tearing their lives apart.

Written in Hopkins’s stunning poetic verse style, Collateral centers on Ashley, an MFA student at San Diego State University. She grew up reading books and never dreamed she would become a military wife. One night she meets a handsome soldier named Cole. He doesn't match the stereotype of the aggressive military man. He’s passionate and romantic. He even writes poetry. Their relationship evolves into a sexually charged love affair that goes on for five years and survives four deployments. Cole wants Ashley to marry him, but when she meets another man, a professor with similar pursuits and values, she begins to see what life might be like outside the shadow of war.

Collateral captures the hearts of the soldiers on the battlefield and the minds of the friends, family, and lovers they leave behind. Those who remain at home may be far away from the relentless, sand-choked skies of the Middle East and the crosshairs of a sniper rifle, but just the same, all of them will sacrifice a part of themselves for their country and all will eventually ask themselves if the collateral damage caused by war is worth the fight.

I love all Ellen Hopkins books.
So I'm sure this one will be amazing.
Also, just in time for my b-day :)
Is this on your TBR?

Top Ten Bookish People I Want To Meet

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly
meme held over at The Broke and the Bookish

This weeks topic is the top ten bookish people
you'd like to meet. It can be authors or bloggers,
or anyone, as long as they're bookish :)

1. Robert Kirkman
I obviously chose him because he is the
creator/author of The Walking Dead comics!
I am currently OBSESSED with it! I have
read up to about issue #95 in 10 days!
I've been reading as much as time
 allows. I think I'm in love :)

2. Jamie McGuire
I love her too. Such a great author. I am
completely in love with Travis from Beautiful
Disaster. I can't wait for her next book.

3. Cat Patrick
Awesome, awesome ideas! I don't know
she comes up with these ideas. But the
execution is absolutely fabulous! I would
love to pick her brain!

4. Ellen Hopkins
I absolutely love all her books. I haven't
read one yet that I disliked even a little.

5. Veronica Roth
OMG! The author of Divergent! Enough said!

6. Jay Asher
13 Reasons Why was so powerful for me
& The Future of Us was absolutely epic!
Both are definitely must reads!
Can't wait for his future books!

7. John Green
Although I didn't really like Looking For
Alaska, I know that he is a awesome author.
And the fact that he makes YouTube
videos with his brother?! Awesome!

I'm done with authors. Since I'm new to the book blogger community, I haven't really talked to a lot of fellow bloggers, but there are a few I'd love to meet :)

8. Bianca :)
Bianca was one of the first to say hello to
me and she's always been so nice to me.
And I always get excited when she leaves
comments on my blog posts, it lets me
know that someone other than me is
reading it. I think she's not too far
away, maybe one day we can hang out :)
She is co-author of Pages of Forbidden Love.

9. Theta Sigma
I don't know his real name, but he too was
one of the first to say hello to me. He's
very kind and always has something funny
to say :) His blog is Resolution Corner.

10. Loretta
I first saw Loretta on YouTube, I love
her videos. I think she's hilarious. And
I love when she buys a million books.
You can tell that she is completely
obsessed with books, as am i.
Her blog is Between the Pages.

Waiting On Wednesday: Tilt

This is my first ever Waiting on Wednesday post! WooHoo! :)

"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

My pick for this week is:

Tilt by Ellen Hopkins
Expected publication: September 11, 2012
Amazon -- Goodreads

From Goodreads:
TILT is the story of three teens inter-related through their
parents' family relationships and friendships. As their parents
pull away, caught up in their own dilemmas, the kids' worlds
tilt, through love--good and bad:

Mikayla, almost eighteen, is over-the-top in love with Dylan,
who loves her back jealously. But what happens to that love
when Mikayla gets pregnant the summer before their senior
year, and decides to keep the baby?

Shane turns sixteen that same summer, and falls hard in love
with his first boyfriend, Alex, who happens to be HIV positive.
Shane has lived for four years with his little sister's
impending death. Can he accept Alex's love, knowing his life,
too, will be shortened?

Harley is fourteen—a good girl searching for new experiences,
especially love from an older boy. She never expects to hurdle
toward self-destructive extremes in order to define who she is
and who she wants to be.

Absolutely CANNOT wait for this one!

Enjoy your day!
