I discovered this other cover when I was looking up the covers for my Cover Issues: Shatter Me, which I haven't finished yet, but will be coming soon. And I was shocked. I can't believe these covers are exactly the same.
The one on the left is the German cover of Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi and the one on the right is Carrier of the Mark by Leigh Fallon. So I sat there staring at the covers for about ten minutes. And they really are exactly the same. The same girl. Her hair is the same. Her hand is positioned the same way. The blue part at the bottom is the same. The only difference is the shades. Her hair varies a little and the blue is a little different. And of course the background.
I just thought I would share. I have never heard of the one on the right. Have you? Have you read it? If not, you can click here to view that book on Goodreads. I'm still only about 60% the way through Shatter Me. It's a really good book and it draws me in, but for some reason I don't feel the need to pick it up.
Anyways, I don't know who's the copy cat in this situation, but does it really matter?
